HealthBrowser

Privacy Policy

The short version

HealthBrowser does not collect, transmit, store, or share any of your data. Everything happens on your device. There is no server, no user account, no analytics, and no tracking.

HealthBrowser is a native iOS app that lets you browse and export the health data stored on your own device. This policy explains exactly what the app does — and does not do — with that data.

What data the app accesses

With your explicit permission, HealthBrowser reads health and fitness data from Apple HealthKit on your device — for example body measurements, vital signs, activity, nutrition, sleep, workouts, and lab & test results. It reads this data solely to display it to you and to let you export it. The app requests read-only access and never writes to HealthKit.

How your data is used

All processing happens locally on your iPhone. Your health data is never sent to the developer, to any third party, or to any server. The app makes no network requests of any kind — there is no backend for it to talk to.

Exports

When you choose to export data, HealthBrowser writes a temporary CSV or JSON file to the app's private storage and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. From there, you alone decide where it goes — Files, Mail, or any other app you pick. These temporary files are cleaned up automatically. The developer never receives them.

Data retention and deletion

Because the app stores nothing outside your device, there is nothing for the developer to retain or delete. You can revoke the app's access to your health data at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Health Browser. Deleting the app removes all of its local data from your device.

No tracking, no third parties

HealthBrowser contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, and no third-party frameworks that collect data. It is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
